I had a cw9 when they came out years ago. I had issues with it. It use to say in the owners Manuel break in for 300 rounds before considering it reliably. After 500 rounds i was still having issues.

If it's not reliable out of the box, it's broken and should be replaced.

Their owners manual notice was just a shoddy attempt to paper over bad engineering and/or manufacturing.

A gun is a critical device, like an airplane engine. Lycoming doesn't tell you "if the engine stops in mid-flight and can't be restarted, that's normal for the first thousand hours." And an airplane engine is less critical than a gun...

If it doesn't function out of the box, it needs to go back to the factory.

If you buy a new car, you wouldn't put up with it quitting in the middle of the freeway at random intervals, would you? No, you'd take it back to the dealer and raise hell.

Slipshod quality control isn't your fault, or your problem.
