Though that's undeniably sheet metal, and probably a .45, it's definitely not a 1911. Note, among other things, the hinged trigger instead of a sliding trigger, the lack of a grip safety, and if the slide dimple is any indication, only one locking ridge instead of three. There also doesn't seem to be a barrel bushing. Or magazine release, for that matter.

That's no more a "1911" than a Glock 37.

That looks like the picture from the NRA web site. They've had it up, and grossly mislabeled, for years. The picture gets posted periodically to some of the 1911 sites, where various "experts" don't seem to see anything wrong with it...
