Bruce's book has the prints for the chamber reamer and case dimensions for the .300 AMP cartridge. I know the .357 AMP is very popular, but what happened to the .300?

Were any ever shipped?

I came across some loading data for the .30 Herrett the other day, and then some notes I'd made back in, uh, 1982. Back then I was *really* pumped about the .30 Herrett, which was being loaded to amazing velocities.

The Herrett was designed for the Contender, and the empty case is the same length as a loaded AMP round, though smaller in diameter. But I didn't realize the prints for the .300 AMP predate the introduction of the .30 Herrett (in 1972) by a year.

Kent Lomont did a .30 LMP. The Auto Mag Wikipedia page says the .30 LMP's shoulder angle was different from the .300 AMP. I haven't found out much else about the .30 LMP.

After seeing the 8mm KMP thread, I'm even more curious about what the .300 AMP might have become. As I've learned more about the Auto Mag I suspect it might have been finicky as far as reliability in the Auto Mag. Though there are other pistols that take similar-length cartridges...
