Fuck Volgograd. And Tsaritsyn, for that matter.

The city earned the name "Stalingrad" at an almost unimaginable price. Then they try to steal its name because it bore the name of someone out of favor at the moment.

A thousand years from now, they will have probably changed its official name a hundred times, but it will always be Stalingrad.

Most people outside of Russia never knew the Soviets renamed the city "Volgograd." Even fewer know it was "Tsaritsyn" before it was Stalingrad.

The city bought its name in rivers of blood. Stalingrad.

A thousand years from now, people will still remember it was Stalingrad that fought the Nazis to a standstill.
