The interesting thing is, guns come colored from the factory - brushed, chromed, blue, black, olive drab, woodland camo, plum and black, etc.

The proposed law, to make any sense at all, would have to either ban painting a gun a color it didn't come with from the factory, or ban specific colors.

In the first case, it would be like Arkansas' law on window tint on cars. You can only tint your windows a certain small amount, which the police check with a little card they put behind the window and try to read. But the law doesn't apply to police cars, which have the windows blacked out to the point where they're unsafe to drive at night, or to any factory tint, which can be as dark as you want as long as it came that way. Ri-ight.
