Think back about political campaigns you've seen. Remember when they told you all about how they were tough on crime, going to fix social security, bring in more jobs, etc.? Then they talked about all the bills they're introduced, sponsored, or helped pass. Bills are how politicians keep score.

Not only does repealing bills not make much political hay... a lot of the sheeple view any ridiculous law as being handed down from heaven, and the idea of repealing a law (well, other than maybe tax law) is alarming to them. If there wasn't a clear need for it, there wouldn't have been a law in the first place, innit?
