I recently bought a Videki flat faced trigger. I had never seen a flat faced 1911 trigger before and since I was able to get it fairly cheap I thought that I would try it out to see if I liked it. I am trying to figure out if it was built for a special purpose or do some people just prefer flat faced triggers. Has anyone used one of these? I haven't installed it yet so I still don't know if it suits me or not.

I suppose that some people like anything, but the flat fingerpiece will allow one to shape it anyway they want. There is extra material going in any direction.

Fuff, someone must like it like it like it is since the trigger face is grooved. Reshaping it is a good idea though. I had not thought about that.

Well of course some people like it, but if you don't you have enough material to make it "your way." Why do it somebody's else way?

Sorry to chime in so late. But I just saw your post. The flat trigger is so you always pull the trigger as nearly the same every time, no matter how you grasp the gun. Check out the Doug Koenig S&W 1911 with the flat trigger. It's mostly us match shooters that want them. But every little thing adds up when you're after the fastest time and the best score.
