Since there are plenty of 1911 sight cut's out there, I thought that I would post the different dimensions that i have come across.
Novak is pretty much the standard cut for 1911 sights.
Front: 65 deg x 330" x .075" (have also seen .060" and .070")
Rear: 65 deg x .500"
Springfield used to use the standard Novak rear cut, but it's changed since after ~2002 to a smaller cut.
Front: 60 deg x .330" x .078"
Rear: 65 deg x ~.490"-.485" (this is just a smaller cut in the dovetail, which requires filing down the sight to fit)
STI
Front: 60 deg x .300" x .074"
Rear: Novak (fixed) 65 deg x .495" or BoMar (adjustable)
Armscor (RIA Tactical and Citadel)
Front: 65 deg x .330" x .085"
Rear: 65 deg x .487" (similar to Novak, but needs to be fit like the Springfield.)
Dan Wesson uses a combination of standard Novak rear and Springfield front:
Front: 60 deg x .330" x .078"
Rear: 65 deg x .500"
Kimber has it's own sight cuts.
Front: 65 deg x .330" x .070"
Rear: ??? don't know, but there are sight specifically for Kimbers
Wilson Combat:
Front: 60 deg x .300"
Rear:
Smith & Wesson has it's own sight cuts. I haven't looked into what they are.
Taurus PT1911's also have a proprietary cut on their slides that prevent using standard dovetail sights.
Baer... Bomar cut 360x.60 and the front dovetail cut is .330 x 65
According to the following link, the RIA front sight dovetail is 65 degrees. Source: http://forum.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=82030
