I am trying to install my sear onto the disconnector but everytime I try to slide it into place it starts to grind on the sides of the inside of the frame. Is the sear too wide or is it supposed to be such a tight fit that it literally needs forcing into place. If it is too wide should I file it a little to get it to fit or file the frame. It's an 805 frame that I cut the rails myself.

Measure the slot, should be .310 +/- .005. If close, wrap a file with 320 wet/dry sandpaper. Try to keep the sides parallel.

You should definatley not have to force it. It definately sounds too wide for your frame, Either file it or stone it down a few thou and you should be good to go.

Okay thanks a lot guys. I will file the sear on both sides as evenly as possible. I put together my Diy Guns kit with a Tannery frame.

If the frame channel is OK, then use a stone to narrow the sear. Good sears will laugh at a file.
