I am preparing to machine the fixture I will use to complete my 80% receiver. I have two prints - the original 1911 Ordnance prints (found in the Home Gunsmith Library) and the 1911 Redux prints (Link).

The original prints call out the location of the mainspring hole from the slide stop hole as 3.750", while the Redux prints define the location as 3.745". Which is correct? Which would work with most MS housings?

Kuhnhausen's book shows 3.750 +/- .001. Who knows here the number came from in the redrawn blueprints?

3.75". The redux are an individuals re-drawing of the 1911 based on ??? - i.e. they don't come from a manufacturer.
