help locating magwell

I have looked everywhere for this dimension but I cannot find it on any of the blueprints.

Ok, so looking down at the top of the frame, almost as if you are looking down throught the magwell... what is the distance from the center of the take down pin to the rear of the magwell?

I have guessed about 2.170"

For a reference, I am referring to the diagram in the top left corner of page 51 in the m1911_A1 redux pdf. in your tech section.

I don't see any other way to locate the magwell. How do you guys do it?

The dimension you seek is given in Zone D4 of the second sheet (sheet 2/2) of the Ordnance frame blueprints which can be found at the 14th link down in our Tech Issues section. But if you want the "horizontal" distance, you'll have to calculate it because the distance given on the blueprint is the one normal to the magazine well. It may be somewhere on this one:
