Wow, two pistols finished in two weeks, I am a man on fire. Attached is
some pics of the latest blaster I finished this weekend, I had attempted to
talk this customer into letting me blue it but he was solid in his resolve to
have it green. Oh well, this pistol would have been beyond beautifull if it
had been brushed sides with matte top and blued. But oh well it turned out
nice none the less, I decided to make my logo silver with some silver inlay
from Brownells, I at first only did it for the photos and was going to pull it
out of my etching before giving it to the customer, what do you guys think
leave the silver on it or not?
Wow, thanks everybody for the great compliments, I truly appreciate them. I just hope the customer appreciates the pistol as much as you guys do. I get what I like to call here at Ft Bragg NC mostly Commando's on a budget customers. What I mean by that is when you tell them the cost of a Smith and Alexander magwell they cringe, so when I met this guy he wanted it all and did not mind paying for it. Needless to say I was ecstatic as I could finally unleash my artistic side and let it flow. Well you see the final results. Hopefully he's not the only customer out there like that.
I have far more time figuring out how to do the snakeskin properly than actually doing it. Ive got more 7/8 snakeskinned roundstock sitting around here than I know what to do with. And I wont even get into what a pain doing the mainspring housing was, made the frontstrap seem easy.
