This probably won't blow your hair back, but something kinda cool nonetheless.

This frontstrap treatment was the brainchild of myself and one of my local customers. "Bob" as I'll call him stopped over and saw that I had been doing some messing around with my checkering fixture, a Caspian demilled frame, and a 6-pack of Sam Adams. He then sent me the link to Larry Davidson's new "Sunrise" grip texture and asked me to come up with something that might complement it, and still somewhat retain the look of checkering.

Larry's Grips, his photo from EBay:

The grip surface allows the shooter to rotate the pistol in his hand to more easily access the magazine release and slide stop if desired, but still maintain positive control under recoil. It's a different feel. I'm not sure if this has been done before, but it was a first for me and it turned out pretty OK.
