Heya guys... I have some Sarco frames and slides set back in a drawer in case I ever want to build one of them into a .22 or some other project thats interesting... and then this morning I seen this video showing a recent .22 1911 offering... Kinda inspirational, makes me want a 1911 in .22.

I would like to buy a .22 magazine that would work with a home conversion... Something usable but cheap because I just want to add it to the parts drawer against the day that I dont already have too much to do..Anybody know a source?

Look into the ATI GSG 1911. It's a .22 caliber 1911 copy that the manufacturer claim is 80% compatible with the real 1911.

Okay Yes that would work... I'll wait to see if there are others to consider but yeaup I could pop for one of those.

A Colt Ace magazine should work.

A genuine Colt can probably be found on one of the auction sites.

Mags from a Ruger MkI, II, or III can be made to work in the same way they do for the Ruger .22/45. It's a little different in that the angle of the magazine doesn't match the angle of the grip, but there's enough room in the grip to handle it.
